Periplus Research is a strategy and disputes advisory firm serving institutional decision-makers navigating complex operating environments. Mosaic research—structured on the methods of Track II diplomacy—assembles independently sourced fragments from human sources into a picture that surfaces insights inaccessible to formal reporting. Our interlocutor networks are positioned across 85 jurisdictions in Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia—integrating mandate-led, native-language dialogue at ministerial, provincial, and coastal levels with ethnography, governance expertise, and legal-strategic assessment. Engagements span transaction support, stakeholder assessment, political and regulatory risk, and dispute intelligence. Much of the world in which corporations and institutional investors operate is legible: filings, registries, databases, financial models. Periplus starts from the premise that local knowledge is the point—and delivers the part that determines whether the formal structure functions as described. We work selectively with clients requiring objectivity, discretion, and structural independence from the interests we assess.
